N. America with C. House

Tuesday, September 14th, 2010

The Prime Ministers and I just completed a circumnavigation of North America, supporting Crowded House around the legendary theatres and vineyards of the continent.

We met many wonderful folks, received the compliment “great job” approximately 1000 times, ate way too much Subway (yuck!), received a monster parking fine at the Lincoln Memorial, got chased by a grizzly bear while summiting on Mount McKinley and smoked crack behind a CVS in East Oakland. It has been, as the local citizens say, “totally awesome.”

Here are some photos I’ve cribbed from the FB pages of Martin, Hayden, Daniel, Tom, and our good friend and temporary road champignon Amee – terrific photographers and documentarians all.

Also appearing in the shots, along with myself and the erstwhile PM’s are Justyn Pilbrow (driver/sound engineer – first leg o’tour), Mimsy Cable (merchandise and a better half), EJ Barnes (sound engineer – second leg) and Travis Walk (driver/tour manager – second leg)

Thanks to everyone involved in every imaginable facet of the experience. It was a magnificent couple of months.

Photographic Recap of the Tour

Sunday, April 18th, 2010

So, hello there!

We’re finished touring for a bit. It’s been epic. We’ve met some amazing people, and some pricks, eaten some incredible food, drunk copious amounts of vital fluids, seen Gothic cathedrals and strip malls, told scatological jokes ad nauseum, cuddled each other and snapped at each other passive aggressively.

I haven’t had a camera on the tour, so I went onto Facebook and stole everyone’s photos of us. i.e. Daniel, Martin, Tom and Hayden’s. They have totally adequate photographic faculties those dudes.

By the way, there’s a serious paucity of shots of us in the United States of America which is a large and self-assured nation on the west side of the Atlantic Ocean. I’ll post some of those when they appear – at the moment, the only two photos of that locale are the last two, which have been stolen from Fanfarlo and Harlan Levine respectively, to give due props.
